The Carpenter is responsible for performing various trade work tasks to complete the construction projects. This includes rough carpentry, finish carpentry, siding installation, metal finishes, and supervision, depending on the project scope. Installs structures and fixtures such as windows and molding, doors, framework for walls, floors, and doors. Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed, bringing problems to the attention of the Project Superintendent, Safety Director, or HR Manager.
The Iron Worker is responsible for the installation of iron or steel beams, girders, and columns to form buildings, bridges, and other structures. Erects steel columns and makes proper bolt connections between the rafters and columns, ensuring the building frame is square and plumb before the siding and roof is started. Erection will include, but not be limited to, both conventional steel structures as well as Pre-engineered structures. At times assisting or leading Pre-engineered roof crews and sidewall crews will be required. Use of metal shears, torches, and welding equipment to cut, bend, and weld the steel is required. Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed, bringing problems to the attention of the Project Superintendent, Safety Director, or HR Manager.
The Laborer is responsible for performing a wide range of construction related tasks, from very easy to the extremely difficult. Assists with job site cleanliness, loading and unloading of materials, erects or disassembles scaffolding, demolition, and temporary structures. Other tasks can involve metal roof installation, metal sidewall and trim installation as well as assisting in steel erection. Assists with equipment and job site safety and incident reporting procedures, bringing problems to the attention of the Project Superintendent, Safety Director, or HR Manager.
